I was still catching my own breathe when I reached Jiyong.

“Jiyong, I need your car keys. Please, this is an emergency.”

“Hyung, what happened?” Jiyong hyung asked as he look for his keys.

Seunghyun hyung only said one thing: “Bom…”

I was Dara stood up from her seat.

“What happened to my sister?” she said with concern and panic.

“No time I explain. Jiyong give me the keys. I need to catch her.” I responded.

“You’re not in the proper state to drive Seunghyun. We’re coming with you. And I’ll drive.” Jiyong said as he grabbed Dara’s hand.

“Let’s go.” I said as we started sprinting out of the house.

I sat on the passenger seat while Dara sat on the back seat.

Jiyong started the car and we were out of the house in no time.

We were just in the road for five minutes when Dara suddenly started crying.

“Damn Seunghyun! Why did my sister drive off? What have you done to her?”

I was unsure how to answer her for I, myself, can’t even think straight right now.

“I just said some things to her…” I replied.

I look at her in the rear-view mirror and I could see the anger in her eyes.

“If something bad happens to her, I swear, I won’t ever forgive you.” She threatened.

I bowed my head and just kept quiet.

‘If something bad happens to her, I won’t forgive myself too.’

Bom, please, be safe!

I was lost in my own thoughts when I suddenly heard someone speak.

“Isn’t that Bom-noona’s car?” Jiyong said as he pointed something.

I followed his gazed and my eyes widened in shock.

‘God! No!’

Dara was crying on the bench and Jiyong was trying to comfort her.

I, on the other hand, was standing near the door of the surgery room, waiting for a doctor to come out with some news.

Images of Bom covered in blood circulated my mind.

When I saw her unconscious with a pool of her own blood, my mind went blank. It was like I wanted to end my life for I can’t take it anymore.

I heard Dara screaming with anger as she launched towards me. She punched me on the chest several times, but I felt no pain.

I felt numbed all over.

Good thing Jiyong was there. He called the hospital and after a few minutes, an ambulance arrived. (A/N. I actually hate those dying scenes because of an accident in movies and dramas. Oh come one! Someone has to call the ambulance. Your tears won’t make the dying person alive!)

And now, here we are, unsure if Bom’s gonna be okay or not.

If only I didn’t say those words we would be still in the party, getting drunk and just having fun. Too bad those words came out of my mouth.

FLASHBACK

“Bom, can we talk outside.” I whispered to her.

She frowned at first, but she still nodded.

She held my hand and led me to the pool area.

As we reached out destination, she started to talk.

“You know, I’m so happy I’m finally back--- for good! But, you didn’t look pleased at all. Don’t you want me back?”

I gave her a fake smile and said “I’m glad your back.”
She seemed unconvinced but she didn’t say another word. She sat down, took of her sandals and dipped her legs in the pool.

Seeing her doing that, I took off my shoes and folded my pants so that it won’t get wet.

Then, I sat beside her and dipped my legs in the water.

“I’ve suffered so much in the States, did you know that? I’ve booked a flight back her in Seoul for several times but in the end, I also cancel it. My dad was really having a hard time with the company. I guess American buyers are really different from Korean buyers. But after years of looking for a solution to our problem, we we’re finally successful. Now, my dad doesn’t need my help there. That’s why I’m back…”

She paused for a while but she continued shortly after.

“I was like a walking zombie there. My body was working there but my soul is here in Korea. I’m miserable--- miserable without you Seunghyun. I don’t think I could ever live for another year without you by my side. But now, you’re here by my side, yet I don’t feel your presence. What is happening to you Seunghyun?”

I was still dazed from her long speech. So out of the blue, words came out of my mouth.

“I think I’m in love with someone else.”

“WHAT?!” She shouted as she stood up.

Because of that, I realized what I just said. I looked at her as tears were beginning to form in her eyes.

“How could you?” she asked.

“How could I? God Bom! How could I not? You told me you’ll be away for one year, and then you came back three years after. Three Craking years Bom! Don't you get it? Distance doesn't make the heart grow fonder. It makes the heart go and find another!” I just lost my temper. I didn’t even notice that I was already standing.

“I thought you, of all people, would understand. You’re pathetic, you know that? I did it for my family, not for myself. If I had a choice, would I have left you? No. God! You’re blaming it to me? Three years Seunghyun, but you never even made a move. You didn’t even try to go and visit me there. So, what’s your excuse? I know that fact that all you did was party and get drunk!”

What she said was like an arrow that struck me. God! I’m such an idiot.

I was mentally hurting myself when she suddenly asked something.

“Who is she?”

I stared at her and replied “It doesn’t matter.”

She came towards me and held my face with her hands.

“Who is she?” she asked again.

I didn’t answer. I just looked at her straight in her eyes.

Then, tears automatically fell from her eyes. She let go of me as she hugged herself.

“You know what breaks my heart? When I looked into your eyes, I don't see my reflection. I see hers.”

Those were her last words to me for she ran towards the parking area.

I was unsure of what to do next. Should I follow her or should I not? But, I want to do the right thing. So I put on my shoes and fixed my pants before I ran after her (A/N. I know..what a stupid move for someone who’s in panic right? But then, there are really people like that… believe me, I would have done the same.)

But, I was too late; she drove off even before I could reach her.

This time, I was REALLY panicking. I knew she was going to do something crazy if I didn’t follow her. So, I went inside and look her Jiyong. I really need his keys.

I was still catching my own breathe when I reached Jiyong.

“Hyung, what happened?” Jiyong hyung asked as he look for his keys.

Seunghyun hyung only said one thing: “Bom…”

END OF FLASHBACK

“Bom… please be okay.” I said.

Then, the door suddenly opened.

Dara stood up from her seat and approached the doctor.

“Is my sister okay? Please tell me.” Her eyes were really swollen because of too much crying. God! I really should be punished, I made their life miserable.

“She’s in a stable state now. It’s quite a miracle, you know, for she lost a lot of blood. Anyway, she would be sent to her private room now.” Doctor Leen said.

“Thank God.” Dara said as she hugged Jiyong.

Sigh. At least now, I can finally breathe.

We’ve waited the whole night, yet Bom still haven’t woken up.

Dara was sitting beside the bed as she was holding Bom’s hand.

Jiyong was just sitting patiently on the the corner.

I, on the other hand, was walking back and forth.

I’m just nervous. What if Bom won’t wake up?

I was thinking of several possibilities when I suddenly heard Dara speak.

“Unnie? Guys, I think she’s conscious now.”

We all stared at Bom as she slowly opened her eyes.

Her eyes roamed the room and she looked confused.

Then, with her coarse voice, I heard her say that thing that I was afraid of.

“Where am I?”
