“Thanks, I really need that.” I said as I let go of Taeyang.

“I know. You’re my best friend after all.” He said with a smile on his face.

“Speaking of ‘best friend’, where is that other best friend of yours?” I asked as I looked at the hospital entrance. I realized that Jiyong has been gone for a long time.

Taeyang must have thought of what to answer because he suddenly became awfully quiet.

So I just patiently waited for him to respond.

“Ah! He must have seen Minji. She’s visiting noona with Chaerin and Daesung today.”

As I heard his response I started hallucinating. I think I’m hearing bomb explosions from the hospital.

I cringed and I guess Taeyang saw my expression because he asked “What’s wrong?”

“Big problem… you see, Seung-ri’s coming too.”

I’m not sure if Taeyang was paying attention to what I just said because he didn’t react at all. All he did was took his phone from his pocket and began typing something.

“Yah! Did you hear what I just said?” I shouted as I slap him on his arm.

Still he didn’t respond. He continued typing on his phone.

‘Aish! This guy makes me mad sometimes.’

“There! Message sent. Let’s go!” he said as he grabbed my hand.

‘”Wait! Jiyong said I should wait for him here!” I said.

Then he smiled again.

“Don’t worry, I texted Jiyong already. Using Chaerin and Seung-ri in a sentence is bad enough. And… I don’t want you to experience World War 3.”

I hesitated for a few moments. But, I think I heard those bomb explosions once again. I looked at the entrance of the hospital and saw Seung-ri coming in.

I pulled Taeyang towards the parking lot and said “Let’s go… I think World War 3 is about to start.”

Seung-ri’s POV

I was looking for Bom noona’s room but I can’t seem to find it. Seriously, is this a hospital? If I were the patient, I would have died even before I find the emergency room.

The nurse in the counter said that I should go to the fifth floor then turn left, then right, then left, then another left…oh wait…it was a right, no…it was left…aish! Great! Now I’m lost--- in a hospital!

I decided to trace back my steps and return to the counter and just ask for somebody to assist me. But I suddenly bumped into someone.

I saw her widened her eyes as she saw me.

Then, she started running away from me and her friends.

I didn’t even think. There’s only one thing in my mind right now--- run after her.

So I did what my instinct told me, I ran after her.

I heard her friend shout something, but I was too focused on catching her that I didn’t even bother listening to it.

I saw her enter the elevator and click all the button she could possibly click.

The elevator door was about to close when I was able to get it.

The door closed and we heard a loud crash. The lights turned off and the elevator shut down.

I looked at her. She curled herself up in a ball and she hid her face from me.

“Chaerin, are you okay?”

“This is your fault! That’s why were stuck here! I hate you!”

“You’re blaming me? God! You were the one who pushed all those button. The poor elevator couldn’t function well because of you.”

Silence. She didn’t respond.

So, I broke the silence.

“Chaerin… we need to talk.”

“I’m not talking to you.”

“Then why are you responding?”

“That doesn’t change the fact that I still hate you.”

I looked at her straight in the eyes and all I saw was fire. She was really angry with me. After all those years, she still can’t forgive me.

“Chaerin, for once… I wish you could look at me and see the person you once loved instead of the person you have grown to hate.”

Another silence.

“There’s no need for you to talk… just…just listen to me…”

Then, I started explaining what really happened. From Anj to the gay thing, I said everything to her in details.

“I still saw you kiss her.”

“She came there to ask for comfort. She was not in her proper mind. The next thing I know, she was kissing me. I swear… I didn’t kiss back.”

“Hmm… you didn’t even stop it either.”

‘Aish! She’s not making it easy for me.’

“Look, I was checking if I still have feelings for her. But as she kissed me, I didn’t feel any spark anymore. That time, I realized that I’m finally over her. And at the same time, I realized… I realized that I’m in love with you.”

“Well that’s too bad… because I can’t help you with your problem.”

Then, the elevator lights turned on and the elevator door opened.

Chaerin went out immediately.

“I saw the way you look at him… are you falling for him already?”

I saw her stop. But she just stood there.

Silence. It means yes right?

I saw the elevator door slowly close, so before it finally closes, I just got to say this to her.

“Chaerin… just… just make sure he’s there to catch you…”

Chaerin’s POV

“Chaerin… just… just make sure he’s there to catch you…”

I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

I can’t take it anymore…

I broke down there, in front of the elevator. I didn’t care if someone sees me. I just…I just need to get it out.

Then, I felt someone hugged me from behind.

I turned around and saw that it was Minji. I couldn’t hide my disappointment when I found out it was her.

‘Damnit Chaerin! You think he’s going come back and hug you?’

“Unnie, what’s wrong?”

I hugged Minji tighter and cried on her shoulders.

“Minji… he told me he loves me…”

“Unnie…I thought you’re over him already. I thought you like my brother.”

“I thought so too… But I guess I was wrong…”

“So you mean you’re still in love with that player?”

“Unfortunately…”
